Education

I am a graduate of Misericordia University. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I began my teaching career in 1976.I taught Sixth Grade for three years in private school in Philadelphia while my husband was completing his Degree in Dental Medicine. We then decided to move back to the Wyoming Valley. At that time my husband started his practice in Dental Medicine and I was a stay at home mom raising our three sons. I began to teach Nursery School at the Pittston YMCA and then I began to substitute at Wyoming Area for eight years. In September 2006 I was hired by Wyoming Area as a Second Grade teacher. I taught Second Grade for six years at Tenth Street Elementary School in Wyoming and  Third Grade at Montgomery Avenue Elementary School for four years. With the restructuring of the Elementary grades  to Centers in 2016 I choose to work with the younger students. This will be my third year teaching Kindergarten at the Kindergarten Center. I really enjoy  teaching the Kindergarten students.  Continuing education is important to me so I have been taking graduate courses periodically through out the school year.At this time I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I am very excited to begin a new school year at the Kindergarten Center.
